Father Constantinos is the 11th Proistamenos in the Cathedral’s more than 100-year history. His ministry continues a sacred lineage of pastoral leadership at the spiritual heart of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco.

Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Fr. Constantinos brings with him nearly fifteen years of dynamic and visionary priestly ministry. A passionate advocate for youth engagement, he is equally known for his extraordinary leadership in church building projects, iconography installations, and parish revitalization.

At his first parish assignment at Ypapanti Greek Orthodox Church in Victoria, British Columbia, Father Constantinos oversaw the completion of the iconography installation, established youth and dance groups, and served the missionary community of the Holy Nativity of the Theotokos in Nanaimo, British Columbia.

In Vancouver, at his home parish of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Fr. Constantinos spearheaded the restoration and completion of the Cathedral’s iconographic program. He led the establishment and building of the chapel of St. Anna and the replacement of all holy vessels. He revitalized and expanded youth programs, altar boy participation, and restarted the ENA – MET Youth young adult group and Enosis Hellenic Dance program.

It was in his home city of Vancouver where he established Camp Metamorphosis British Columbia in 2010 beginning with only 25 participants and reaching over 180 participants at its peak. Camp Metamorphosis led a youth revitalization movement in the communities which grew into the establishment of regional young adult assemblies, and greater participation in the National MET Youth program of the Archdiocese of Canada. Throughout his tenure to the Archdiocese of Canada Father Constantinos was also heavily involved in both regional and national youth assemblies through the Met Youth program.

At each of his parish assignments, Fr. Constantinos has led ambitious and transformative capital campaigns. Under his direction as the Proistamenos of Sts. Panteleimon, Anna and Paraskevi in Markham, Ontario, one of the largest Greek Orthodox communities in Canada, the community raised over $2.3 million dollars and achieved major construction milestones including electrical, insulation, drywall, flooring, painting, lighting, and the full interior build-out of the sanctuary. He oversaw the installation of elaborate iconography in the dome and barrel ceiling, as well as the placement of custom chandeliers, a newly renovated church hall, and fully updated offices and added to the liturgical articles.

In May of 2021 Fr. Constantinos and Presbytera Kristina moved to Nafplio, Greece where they were blessed with the births of their daughters Marianna Paraskevi and Eleousa Chrysovalantou, At St. Anastasios Shrine Church in Nafplio, Greece, he worked with parish leadership to transform the church’s unfinished basement into a spiritual and community center. This included the addition of a chapel dedicated to St. John the Baptist, a kitchen, classrooms, and event space. He restored and advanced the sanctuary’s iconography, replaced the main and chapel altars, and coordinated the upgrade of pews and other sacred furnishings. His leadership extended beyond physical improvements. He helped raise the church’s profile in the city and organized regional liturgical celebrations and pilgrimages that brought together clergy, monastics, and laity.

Fr. Constantinos holds a Bachelor of Theology from the Patriarchal Toronto Orthodox Theological Academy, where he served as Student Dean and Valedictorian. He is currently completing a Master of Theology at Holy Cross School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts, with a thesis titled Asceticism in the World, expected to be completed by Fall 2025.

Together with Presbytera Kristina, a dynamic partner in ministry and fellow lover of Hellenic culture and traditional dance, Fr. Constantinos has a gift for building lasting relationships with parishioners of all ages. Their home has always served as a place of welcome, hospitality, and spiritual encouragement, especially for youth.
