The Annunciation Cathedral is pleased to announce new registration for its GOYA ministry! GOYA (Greek Orthodox Youth of America) is a nationwide program for high school students (grades 9–12) that helps teens build a strong connection to their faith, family, and community. Through spiritual growth, fellowship, service projects, and engaging social activities, GOYA offers young people a place to deepen their relationship with Christ, create lifelong friendships, and grow as leaders in both the Church and society.
The mission of the GOYA ministry is to guide our young people in experiencing the fullness of the Holy Orthodox Faith. By nurturing a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and encouraging them to become active sacramental members of the living Church, we provide our youth with the spiritual foundation and tools needed to support their journey of faith.
At Annunciation Cathedral, our GOYA members participate in:
-
Spiritual life – faith-based discussions, retreats, and opportunities to grow in their Orthodox faith.
-
Service & outreach – projects that instill compassion, stewardship, and the joy of giving back.
-
Fellowship & fun – sports, social events, and activities that bring our youth together in a Christ-centered environment.
We welcome all high school youth to be part of this vibrant ministry. Parents are encouraged to reach out with any questions about how GOYA can support their teen’s faith journey.
