Thank you to everyone who joined us for Ministries Sunday! We give thanks to God for our faithful stewards and ministry leaders who make Annunciation Cathedral such a vibrant and loving spiritual home. Our ministries are built on the foundation of Faith + Culture + Family, and our mission is simple:

To encourage, embrace, and support the spiritual journey of Orthodox Christians at Annunciation Cathedral.

🙏 Worship & Spiritual Life

Altar Servers – Nikolas Makarios

Serve in the altar and participate in the Church’s rich liturgical life. Open to Orthodox young men ages 8+.

Byzantine Music – Fr. Constantinos / Alex Kozak

Discover the beauty of Orthodox chant. Classes for all levels will be offered based on interest.

Choir – Nick Tarlson

Sing praises to God and uplift our services—no experience needed, just enthusiasm!

Evangelism – Fr. Constantinos

Share the Orthodox faith and connect with seekers and members through outreach and discipleship.

Elpida Youth ProgramMia Fanourgiakis

Orthodox education for children—spiritual, academic, physical, social, and emotional.

Bookstore – Denise Yielding

Deepen your faith with books, icons, and resources. Volunteers always welcome!

Intro to Orthodoxy – Alex Kozak

A welcoming course for inquirers exploring the Orthodox faith, covering Scripture, theology, and Church tradition.

ReCatechism – Fr. Constantinos / Nikolas Makarios

Ongoing adult faith formation exploring Orthodox theology and practice.

 

❤️ Fellowship & Community

Men’s Fellowship – Jim Rakos

Monthly gatherings for Orthodox men with prayer, discussion, and fellowship.

Seniors Ministry – Fr. Constantinos / Nikolas Makarios

Spiritual, social, and educational support for older adults, including trips, talks, and fellowship meals.

Family Wellness Retreat – Nikolas Makarios

Retreats to strengthen faith and family life, featuring guest speakers and discussions.

Community Kitchen – Maria Polyzos

Monthly meals offered in Christ’s love. Volunteers needed to help expand this outreach.

Philoptochos – Grace Koutoulas

Serving those in need through acts of charity, fundraising, and compassion.

Pilgrimages – Fr. Constantinos / Nikolas Makarios

Spiritual journeys to sacred sites locally and abroad, deepening faith and connection to our Greek Orthodox faith and heritage.

Scholarships – Irene Melitas

Supporting educational growth within our Cathedral family.

Greek Dance – Jenny Dedo

Teaching traditional Hellenic dance through community, song, and fellowship.

Greek School – Aryiro Troan

Small-group language classes for children and adults taught by native speakers.

Herald – Denise Yielding

Our Cathedral newsletter connecting you to events, ministries, and stories of faith.

Internet Ministries – John Lampros

Expanding our Cathedral’s digital presence and online outreach.

 

🏀 Youth, Sports & Young Adults

HOPE (Grades K–5) – Natalia Mavroudis

Faith, fun, and service for elementary-age children.

Jr. GOYA (Grades 6–8) – Mia Fanourgiakis

Fellowship, faith, and service opportunities for middle schoolers.

GOYA (Grades 9–12) – Vicky Spachis

Spiritual growth, service, leadership, and lifelong friendships for high school students.

YAL (Ages 18–30) – Fr. Constantinos / Nikolas Makarios

A vibrant young adult community centered on faith, fellowship, and service.

Open Gym / Basketball – Deno Konstantinides / Chris Kyriacou

Fun, fellowship, and fitness for all skill levels through recreational basketball.
