Every other Tuesday evening, Father Stephen and Christo have been attending a virtual Stewardship Series being offered by the Metropolis and hosted by Stewardship guru Bill Marianes. These sessions offer great insight and provide vision for a healthy stewardship model in a parish. The most recent meeting focused on four areas to ensure healthy stewardship: Leadership Engagement, Tithing and Percentage Giving, Increasing Parishioner Engagement, and Effective Personal Touch. As we continue to participate, we look forward to implementing some of these practices here at the Cathedral. The goal of this process as stated by the Metropolis is to “produce a more effective Stewardship ministry, to be able to elevate our parishes to a deeper level of understanding of true Christian stewardship that leads to a transformative way of living our calling as Greek Orthodox Christians.” As we express thanks to our Cathedral parishioners and friends for your response in 2020, a most challenging year, to be sure, we ask you to begin thinking about your commitment for 2021, the 100th year of our community, a year of healing, rebirth and hope.
