This promises to be an event you won't want to miss!  We will be honoring three Mothers of the Year, after a three year absence (due to COVID): Maria Bissas, Irene Vafiadis, and Foula Vasilogiorgis. In a nod to our Bridgerton theme, we will also be naming a Diamond of the Season on the day of the event! Axios To Father Stephen On 50 Years Of Priesthood

On December 3rd Father Stephen celebrated the 50th anniversary of his Ordination to the Holy Priesthood. He was ordained Deacon by Metropolitan Silas on Oct. 28, 1972 and was ordained Priest by Archbishop Iakovos on Dec. 3, 1972. Both ordinations occurred at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, New York, NY where Father Stephen’s ministry began.

He then continued on to serve at two parishes in Rhode Island before arriving here in San Francisco where the past 35 of his 50 years of ministry has been spent faithfully and lovingly serving the good people of the Annunciation Cathedral.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Father Stephen for his pastoral care over the years and we congratulate him on this amazing milestone in his ministry. Πάντα άξιος! Ever worthy!

Men's Fellowship

Annunciation’s Men’s Fellowship Ministry is a monthly gathering of men 18 years old and up. The purpose of the Ministry is to connect Orthodox Christian men to each other and, more importantly, to deepen their relationship with Christ, increasing their spiritual effectiveness in their communities. Our meetings typically consist of a social hour, a short prayer service, and dinner followed by a relevant discussion. Meetings usually occur on a Thursday evening. Our speakers include George Papageorge, Director of the San Francisco Metropolis Family Wellness Ministry; His Grace Bishop Ioannis of Phocaea; and Christos Pappademos, Annunciation Pastoral Assistant. Our meetings our open to all Orthodox Christian men and Orthodox inquirers.
